“Why am I doing what I'm doing?”
In Chasing Daylight: How My Forthcoming Death Transformed My Life, Eugene O'Kelly, who was, in 2005, the 53-year-old chairman and chief executive of KPMG in the US, asked himself the question, which he said was terrifying to his colleagues and peers.

In Confession, Russian writer Tolstoy wrote:

“‘Well, you will have 6,000 desyatinas of land in Samara Government and 300 horses, and what then?’ And I was quite disconcerted and did not know what to think. Or when considering plans for the education of my children, I would say to myself: ‘What for?’ Or when thinking of the fame my works would bring me, I would say to myself, ‘Very well; you will be more famous than Gogol or Pushkin or Shakespeare or Molière, or than all the writers in the world--and what of it?’”

Man after man has faced similar questions. What is the meaning of life? What are we seeking? How can we end suffering and be happy?

The Source of Life magazine, which aims to chiefly publish translated works, will present to the Vietnamese public the gems of wisdom men have found in their inne journeys in the hope that it would inspire individuals to reflect on the most fundamental problems of life.

The Source of Life targets Vietnamese readers over 25 year old with tertiary-level education.

The Source of Life covers a wide range of disciplines, including cognitive science, neuroscience, biology, behavioural science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, physics, philosophy, medicine and religion.

The content of the magazine can be divided into the following five groups:
-          Food for thought: the most in-depth articles
-          Big, big world: this part presents a world which is diverse, multi-dimension and not confined to any viewpoint
-          Skills: Skills to deal with anger, disappointment and other problems
-          Experience and sharing: This is a place for people to share their experiences and connect with others. Memoirs, famous speeches, reflections…
-          Light-hearted: news, jokes, short stories, quotes, etc.

The Source of Life is a non-profit project. All funds generated will be re-invested into the project.

The Source of Life will publish translated works from books and periodicals including:
- New Age Books
- Inner City Books (Inner City Books was started in 1980 to promote the understanding and practical application of the work of C.G. Jung,  a Swiss psychiatrist and the founder of analytical psychology.)

Giới thiệu ấn phẩm Nguồn Sống

“Tại sao tôi làm những việc tôi đang làm?” Eugene O’Kelly, cố chủ tịch KPMG, một trong những tập đoàn kiểm toán hàng đầu thế giới, đã tự hỏi mình câu hỏi mà ông cho là đáng sợ đối với đồng nghiệp và bạn bè. Trong cuốn “Chạy đua với ánh dương: Cái chết cận kề đã thay đổi đời tôi như thế nào?” do McGraw-Hill xuất bản năm 2005, ngay  sau khi ông mất, O’Kelly đã kể lại việc đối diện với cái chết ở tuổi 53, khi đang trên đỉnh cao của sự nghiệp và danh vọng, đã làm thay đổi những quan niệm, triết lý vốn là nền tảng cho đoạn đời trước đó của ông như thế nào.

Đại văn hào người Nga Tolstoy tự hỏi trong cuốn Tự Thú: “Rất tốt, mình sẽ có 6.000 desiantin đất tại tỉnh Samara cũng như 300 con ngựa, rồi sao nữa? …..Mình sẽ nổi danh hơn Gogol, Pushkin, Shakespeare, Molière, nổi danh hơn tất cả những nhà văn trên thế giới – rồi sao nữa?”
O’Kelly, Tolstoy và không biết bao nhiêu người đã tự hỏi mình những câu hỏi như vậy.
Đâu là ý nghĩa cuộc sống? Tại sao ta sinh ra? Làm sao để hạnh phúc?

Với hy vọng gợi cho mỗi người suy nghĩ những vấn đề nền tảng nhất cho một cuộc sống hạnh phúc và cách giải quyết, ấn phẩm Nguồn Sống giới thiệu, chủ yếu thông qua các tác phẩm dịch, những viên ngọc trí tuệ mà loài người đã tìm thấy trong hành trình khám phá thế giới của tâm trí.

Ấn phẩm Nguồn Sống bao trùm tất cả các lĩnh vực từ những ngành khoa học mới nhất như khoa học tâm thức (cognitive science), thần kinh học, khoa học hành vi, sinh học, tâm lý học, xã hội học, nhân loại học, vật lý học cho đến tôn giáo, triết học.
